Job Title: Property Management Apprentice – Level 3 Housing & Property Management Apprentice
Location: Office based in Manchester, M14 5HZ
Salary: £8 per hour (approx. £14,000 per year). The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.
Job Type: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Hours: 32.5 Hours per week. 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays 10am to 1pm.
Qualification: Level 3 Housing & Property Management
This paid position offers a valuable opportunity to gain a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification while building a long-term career in the property industry. You'll receive hands-on training, work alongside experienced professionals, and gain responsibility from day one.
Duration: The apprenticeship is an 18 month course, with the opportunity to stay at the company with a promotion once you’ve gained the experience and qualification.

What you’ll do at work
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Property Management Apprentice to support our team in the day-to-day management of our property portfolio. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the tenancy process, from initial enquiries through to tenancy end.

Day-to-day you will be interacting with clients through a variety of mediums, face to face, over the phone, and via digital platforms. The successful candidate should have a confident ‘can do’ attitude and will develop a highly transferable set of knowledge and skills over the course of the apprenticeship.
You will be expected to act efficiently and with integrity, showing a positive approach to work and willingness to learn. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopt a proactive approach to developing skills. The successful candidate is also expected to show initiative, managing priorities, time, problem-solving skills, and approach their role with flexibility and with the good of the company in mind.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Property Marketing & Viewings: Conducting property tours for groups of students and helping them navigate the application process.
- The "Turnaround" Peak: Assisting with the intensive summer move-in/move-out period. Dealing with a range of contractors to ensure houses are cleaned, repaired, and ready for the new academic year.
- Tenant Support: Acting as a friendly, professional point of contact for students (and often their parents/guarantors) regarding tenancies and rent.
- Property Inspections: Carrying out termly visits to ensure our houses are being looked after and identifying any "wear and tear" issues.
- Maintenance Liaison: Coordinating with contractors to fix everything from broken kettles to boiler issues, ensuring minimal disruption to students' studies.
- Compliance: Learning the specific legal requirements for HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation), including fire safety and licensing.
The Ideal Candidate
Skills & Attributes:
- Communication Skills: You’re confident, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly with clients and student groups. Must be confident using phones, email and digital systems.
- Resilience: The student market moves fast, You’ll need to keep your cool under pressure.
- Organisation and Attention to Detail: Managing multiple sets of keys and legal documents requires a sharp eye and a tidy mind.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Requirements:
- Driving Licence & Transport: You will be traveling between various student properties within the immediate area so a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
- Education: Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
