Blast Boxing is looking for an experienced Fitness Instructor
· Blast Boxing uses boxing as a method to improve mental health and wellbeing as well as physical fitness.
· We aim to improve our community and the people in it one punch at a time.
· Our sessions are open to anyone in the community and are aimed at building confidence and mental health.
What you will be doing
· Delivering safe, effective and motivating classes including Adult, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Youth, Women’s and Men’s Wellbeing and Parents and Toddlers, fitness, boxing and pilates sessions
What we are looking for
· A genuine passion to improve mental health and wellbeing in the community
· A desire to continuously learn, grow and develop your skills and knowledge
· A reliable, strong team player with the ability to integrate into our team
Requirements
· Level 2 qualified Personal Trainer or Coaching qualifications
· Previous experience instructing group exercise and fitness programmes
· Interest or experience in community development and engagement
· This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults/Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made (Cost covered by Blast)
Desirable
· Boxing training or coaching experience
· First Aider Training
· Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport Certificate
Hours
· 5 hours per week with the potential for additional hours
· Wage negotiable on experience
