Swim Central Preston
Swim Central Preston is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated Lifeguards and Leisure Attendants to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career within the leisure industry while working in a fun, fast-paced environment. You’ll play an important role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all customers while helping create a welcoming atmosphere across the centre.
We are particularly looking for team members who are willing to train and develop as Swimming Instructors as part of their progression with us.
Hours
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- Shifts include evenings and weekends
- Good flexibility is essential, as shifts may vary week to week to provide staff cover during holidays, absences, and busy periods
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pool and leisure areas to ensure customer safety at all times
- Deliver excellent customer service to all visitors
- Enforce pool safety rules and operating procedures
- Respond quickly and calmly to incidents and emergencies
- Maintain clean, safe, and tidy poolside/leisure areas
- Support the wider team where needed
Essential Requirements
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Strong awareness of water safety and emergency procedures
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to stay alert and proactive in a busy environment
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Must have good availability and flexibility to support varying shift patterns
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Willingness to train and develop as a Swimming Instructor
