The Role

We are looking for experienced and engaging Japanese teachers to deliver face-to-face adult group courses, primarily:

Evenings:18:30–20:30 (groups runningonce per week)
Additionalopportunities:weekday afternoons, Friday evenings, and weekends

What you’ll do

Deliver high-quality, communicative Japanese lessons to adult learners
Plan engaging lessons aligned with IH syllabi
Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Build a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues tomaintainhigh academic standards
Complete attendance records andupdate SharePoint folder witha work done record.

Essential requirements

Native or near-nativeproficiencyin Japanese
Strong English communication skills
Recognised teaching qualification in Japanese
Minimum3 years’ experienceteaching groups
Bachelor’s degree
Right to work in the UK and currently UK-based

Desirable

420-hour Japanese teacher training qualification (or equivalent)
Experience withMinna no Nihongo
Degree in Japanese Language Education
Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test
