Job Overview:
A Care Support Administrators responsibility is to work alongside the field care supervisor and management team within the office undertaking office administration duties but also undertaking care calls when required. Working in accordance to best practice, following Blossom Home Cares policy and procedures, agreed standards and legislative requirements under the direction of the manager. Using initiative to work independently is important but also being reliable, time conscious and having the ability to communicate effectively with other colleagues.
Duties:
- Support the Registered Manager & the field care supervisor in dealing with office administration and compiling reports
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers, colleagues and MDT teams
- Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory
- Assist with data entry and record keeping
- Prepare and distribute letters, and other documents
- Taking minutes for all care staff meetings
- Auditing
- Work in line with policies & procedures and maintaining a secure environment
- Encourage innovative methods for the delivery of care
- Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of Blossom Home Care quality assurance program.
- Deal directly with compliments and complaints and record them
- Contribute to staff retention- complete any care calls that need covering
- Participate in a share of the on-call rota
- Maintain care skills at the current level, undertake additional training and development from time to time in order to maintain good practice
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an administrative role
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly, experienced use of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy
- Experience in the health or social care sector is a must
- You must be a driver with access to a vehicle
- Complete care calls when necessary
