We’re looking for someone organised, practical, and reliable to help manage our fleet of around 400 vehicles. This is a fast-moving role that suits someone with a mechanical background who is comfortable handling admin, coordinating repairs, and keeping vehicles compliant and on the road.
This is a full-time position, minimum 40 hours per week.
What we’re looking for:
- Mechanical or vehicle fleet experience
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple jobs at once
- Confident using computer systems and admin software
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional and practical approach to problem solving
- Willing to help outside normal duties when urgent issues arise
Main responsibilities include:
- Scheduling servicing, MOTs, inspections, LOLER tests, tachograph checks, and repairs using our Prohire and tracking systems
- Managing vehicle downtime and coordinating with workshops, body repairers, and recovery providers
- Ordering parts, oils, AdBlue, and workshop consumables when needed
- Checking vehicle warranties before repairs are approved
- Handling breakdown support for drivers and customers
- Reviewing and coding repair invoices and recharging customers where applicable
- Keeping accurate vehicle service and inspection records on Prohire
- Recording and managing information from diagnostic equipment
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of SSD, Angel Vehicle Hire, SSD Contract Hire, and Trustmaster
- Organising inspections and maintenance for workshop equipment and vehicle lifts
- Strong communication skills in order to maintain posirtive relationships with workshop and parts providers
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Clean licence preferred (up to 3 points may be accepted)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
