We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Radiographer to join our diagnostic imaging team at our Portsmouth Surgical Centre. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, patient-focused radiographic services, working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining exceptional clinical standards while contributing to a culture aligned with our Access to Excellence values.
Hours of work - 37.5 hours 4 long days 9.375 hours including weekends, bank holidays and late shifts.
Combination of above shifts equalling 37.5 hours a week

- Deliver safe, effective and high-quality radiographic examinations across a broad range of techniques
- Work autonomously and collaboratively to manage workload and meet patient needs
- Ensure full compliance with IRMER 2017, IRR 17 and local radiation safety procedures
- Clinically justify imaging referrals and support validation of reports
- Maintain accurate patient identification and data across radiology systems
- Promote excellent patient experience, upholding dignity, privacy and confidentiality
- Support infection prevention and control standards across clinical areas
- Contribute to clinical governance activities including audit, risk management and incident reporting
- Engage in continuous professional development and competency assessments
- Demonstrate safe use of digital radiography in line with ALARP principles
- BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent)
- HCPC registered radiographer
- Strong understanding of radiation protection legislation and best practice
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues
- Commitment to delivering high standards of care and continuous improvement
- Passion for patient experience, safety and clinical excellence
