Key Accountabilities:
- Digital Transformation & Strategy
Define and deliver the organisation’s Digital Strategy, translating business objectives into actionable technology roadmaps. Lead major transformation initiatives across systems, data, automation, and integration. Champion digital literacy, process simplification, and value-driven technology adoption across the business.
- IT Infrastructure & Operations
Own the availability, performance, and resilience of all IT infrastructure (on-prem, cloud, network, endpoints). Ensure infrastructure is modern, scalable, secure, and fit for operational demand.
Lead incident, major outage, and disaster recovery response, including escalation to crisis management when required.
- Business Systems & Applications
Act as system owner for core business platforms (e.g. ERP and connected systems). Oversee system development, integration, upgrades, and vendor relationships. Ensure systems support efficient operations, accurate data, and customer requirements.
- Cyber Security & Risk Management
Accountable for cyber security posture, policies, and controls. Lead security initiatives including SOC, endpoint protection, identity management, backups, and cyber insurance requirements. Maintain risk registers, technical debt visibility, and compliance readiness (customers, auditors, insurers).
Ensure high-quality IT support and service delivery across the business. Define service models, SLAs, and escalation paths. Drive continuous improvement in user experience, response time, and reliability.
- People Leadership & Capability
Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing IT team. Set clear direction, objectives, and accountability across roles. Build future capability through mentoring, succession planning, and skills development aligned to the digital roadmap.
- Financial & Vendor Management
Own the IT budget, forecasting, and cost control. Build robust business cases for CAPEX and major initiatives. Manage supplier relationships to maximise value, performance, and contractual compliance.
Experience / Skills
- Proven experience leading IT operations and digital transformation in a complex business environment.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, business systems, cyber security, and data.
- Experience managing suppliers, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical detail into clear business outcomes.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and prioritisation skills.
