Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation for our culinary team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service and hospitality industry, whether you are new to the sector or bringing previous relevant experience. The role is paid and suitable for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.

Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors.

Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen.

Supporting the organisation of stock and supplies to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.

Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Maintaining a tidy workspace throughout shifts to promote safety and efficiency.

Supporting other kitchen staff during busy service periods as required.

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen experience essential.
Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar beneficial.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen setting.
