Full job description

Job Summary
Hope Housing are seeking a diligent and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across our 13 houses and offices, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and possess strong communication skills. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in communal areas
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all assigned spaces, including offices, washrooms, and communal areas
Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, polishers, and steam cleaners safely and effectively
Restock supplies such as hand soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to meet their cleaning requirements

Experience

Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is desirable
Good communication skills in English are essential for effective teamwork and customer interactions
Customer service experience is a plus, especially when engaging with clients or visitors
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between different locations
