Job Summary
We are a well-established 3 surgery mostly private dental practice who offer quality care to our patients, in the market town of Southam. Dedicated to providing a supportive, welcoming and friendly environment for both our patients and our team.
You will be an experienced, motivated, and highly organised Dental Practice Manager working 3.5 – 4 days per week, passionate about patient care and supporting the team.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the practice, ensuring operational efficiency, and providing leadership, friendship and support to a team of dental professionals and staff.
You will need to be approachable and have excellent listening and communication skills with a flexible attitude to new ideas.
You will also need a willingness to cover occasionally surgery or reception duties if required, as well as 2 - 3 weekend on calls per year so GDC registration would be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the dental practice.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of dental professionals and administrative staff.
- Oversee patient care and ensure an excellent customer experience at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and best practice policies.
- Manage patient records, appointments, and patient communication systems.
- Develop and implement strategies for practice growth and patient retention.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and improve practice efficiency.
- Support the Head Dental Nurse to help maintain and manage supplier relationships and stock control.
- Organise and lead regular team meetings, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience Practice Manager for a minimum of 2 years is essential.
- GDC registration as a Dental Professional is essential
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to manage staff rotas, recruitment, and performance
- In depth knowledge of CQC, HTM0105, and Health & Safety regulation requirements
· Experience using KPIs, budgets, and practice performance
- Experience of handling patient enquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Knowledge of how to support business growth and development initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Sound understanding of dental software and practice management systems.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Treatment Co ordination especially Implants is advantageous.
