Job Description:

Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and skilled Bench Hand Joiners to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing high-quality joinery products in our workshop environment. This role requires a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines. The ideal applicant will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Manufacture bespoke joinery components according to technical drawings and specifications
Assemble timber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Finish products with precision
Operate hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and measuring devices accurately
Use power tools safely for cutting, drilling, and shaping materials
Collaborate with the team to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process
Assist with site visits or installations when necessary
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to promote safety and efficiency

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and finishing of joinery products
Strong knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship quality
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a workshop or construction environment
