Job Overview
Are you an experienced Senior Chef de Partie / Kitchen Supervisor? We are a modern British eatery well known for our Porchetta. We make everything onsite - from mayos through to meat prep. We are small, fast paced and we think fun. Deliniated team - FOH and BOH regulalarly help each other and indeed swap roles. The successful candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional in a fast-paced, reputable establishment in the centre of Cambridge. 40 to 42 hours per week, no late nights, paid breaks, 2 days off together.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Oversee food presentation, portion control, and consistency across all dishes served
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in stock control to minimise waste and optimise resources
- Monitor food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with management to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on high-quality food service
- Sound understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with serving experience in hospitality environments
Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
