We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician / Pharmacy Dispenser to join our dynamic team and support the efficient running of our dispensary and clinical services. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about community pharmacy and committed to delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with patients, supporting their healthcare needs, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services within a fast-paced and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions in accordance with GPhC standards.
Support the pharmacist in managing the daily operations of the dispensary and retail area. Handle queries from patients and healthcare professionals efficiently and professionally. Manage stock control, ordering, and record-keeping.
Assist in delivering clinical and travel health services. Maintain compliance with all legal and professional standards.
Contribute to a positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service and healthcare support.
Essential Requirements Proven experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser, Pharmacy Technician, or in a similar role (minimum 2 years' experience in community pharmacy preferred).
Strong knowledge of community pharmacy practices and procedures.
GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred (or eligibility for registration).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine interest in pharmacy and a commitment to delivering patient-focused care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage a high workload efficiently.
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing. Ability to work well under pressure while remaining calm, professional, and patient-focused.
Strong multitasking skills and commitment to completing all tasks to a high standard. Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one).
