Full job description

Job Summary

PART TIME - 20 HOURS PER WEEK

We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Gardener to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through skilled horticultural practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance, with experience in using various tools and techniques to create beautiful, sustainable environments. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors at various settings around Swansea, contributing to the visual appeal and health of landscaped areas. We are looking at about 16-20 hours per week

Duties

Pruning and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Conducting regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, hedge cutting, pruning and weed control
Monitoring plant health and applying horticultural treatments as necessary
Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and adhering to health and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is essential
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Growing experience and a strong understanding of plant care principles are preferred
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labour
PA1/PA6 spraying certificate
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
A valid full clean driver’s licence is essential

Pay: £12.75 per hour
