Site Logistics Driver – Build a career that fits around your life.

Due to the sector requirements, applicants must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years, have the legal right to work, and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

Location: HMP Parc & YOI, Bridgend, CF35 6AP
Salary: £24,471.48 per annum
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7, including alternate weekends
Shift times: between 6:00am and 4:30pm

You’ll play a key role in ensuring meals are delivered safely and efficiently across the site, supporting both the kitchen and wider catering operation.

What you'll do:

Receiving, checking, and organising deliveries
Collecting and transporting food trolleys
Maintaining a clean and safe delivery area
Delivering meals around the outskirts of the prison using a 7.5 tonne vehicle
Working closely with the kitchen team to deliver meals three times per day
Ensuring accurate stock rotation using the FIFO method.

What we’re looking for:

Category C1 driving licence (including grandfather rights where applicable)
Ability to pass DBS and HMPPS vetting (no prior criminal record required)
Physically fit and comfortable handling hot food trolleys and tail lift vehicles
A positive, proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills
UK residency for 5+ years with valid right to work

Please note you may be able to start work while vetting is in progress.
