Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where organisational skills and attention to detail are highly valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing front desk activities, supporting office functions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors and clients in a courteous and professional manner
Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them appropriately using excellent phone etiquette
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate meetings efficiently
Handle data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office & AdminBase as required
Maintain organised records and files both digitally and physically
Assist with administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents
Support office management with various clerical tasks including typing quotes and arrange the service engineers diary
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and professional at all times
Making teas and coffees for customers when required

Qualifications

Proven office experience or previous clerical experience preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent phone etiquette with clear communication skills
Fast typing skills with attention to accuracy
Experience with data entry and general administrative tasks
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Organised, reliable, and personable attitude suitable for a customer-facing role

Pay: £13.00 per hour
