Role Overview
We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Co-ordinator to support the successful delivery of GRP formwork panel projects across the UK and international markets. The role involves coordinating projects from order handover through to manufacture and global shipment, while maintaining strong communication with customers, production teams, suppliers, and logistics partners.
The successful candidate will also provide operational and shipping support to our sister company in Australia, assisting with international project coordination and export logistics.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Review projects handed over from the Sales Department and establish customer requirements, specifications, and delivery expectations.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, production schedules, and customer expectations are achieved.
- Liaise closely with production teams, suppliers, freight providers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Arrange and manage UK and international transport, shipping, export documentation, and deliveries to customers worldwide.
- Support project coordination and shipping requirements for the company’s Australian sister business.
- Procure and negotiate materials and services where required to support production and project delivery.
- Provide professional customer support via telephone and email, responding promptly to enquiries and project updates.
- Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues relating to logistics, scheduling, or customer requirements.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the company Quality Management System and internal procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operations, administration, and project delivery processes.
- Represent the business professionally at all times, maintaining strong customer and supplier relationships.
- Provide administrative support to the wider operations and administration teams as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience in project coordination, logistics, manufacturing, export shipping, or customer service environments preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident working with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Good understanding of international shipping and logistics processes would be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Positive, professional, and proactive approach to work.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within manufacturing, construction products, composites, or GRP industries.
- Knowledge of export procedures and international freight coordination.
- Experience supporting overseas operations or international customers.
Pay: £27,500.00-£33,000.00 per year
