Full job description

Extrusions Production Operative

In this role, you will play an essential part in the product journey within Rocal Extrusions. Responsible for operating our extrusion lines, you will uphold safety, lean, and 5S standards whilst preparing extruded profiles for a plethora of different industry uses.

Our Extrusions team work on a rotating shift basis of days and nights - example included below.

Week 1: Monday-Wednesday 7:00am-7:00pm, Thursday 7:00am-11:00am

Week 2: Monday-Wednesday 7:00pm-7:00am (night shift)

Key Responsibilities

Operating extrusion lines and any associated downstream equipment
Setting up and monitoring extrusion tooling, materials, and product quality
Carrying out quality checks and recording production information
Packing and preparing finished products for secondary operations or dispatch
Supporting line changeovers, start-ups, and shutdowns
Working to lean manufacturing and 5S standards
Identifying and supporting continuous improvement opportunities within the department
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety

What You Bring

Experience in a production environment is essential
Experience in, or knowledge of, the extrusion process is desirable
Strong and demonstrable teamwork skills
Ability to learn quickly with a positive nature
A continuous improvement mindset
Willingness to develop within their role and the wider Extrusions team

40 hours per week worked over a rotating shift pattern of both days and nights
£13.10 per hour starting rate + shift pay, with the opportunity to grow your pay as you develop in your role
