The Ethical Group are a rapidly growing provider of digital technology for private parking management solutions, specialising in the procurement, installation and maintenance of ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) systems across England & Wales. With an expanding client base and exciting projects in the pipeline, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Camera Programmer & Installer to join our team.
The Role
As a Camera Programmer & Installer, you’ll be responsible for the configuration, programming, installation and commissioning of both ANPR and CCTV systems on client sites. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable surveillance to our clients' needs.
Traveling and overnight stays will be required regularly
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure cameras and related hardware on-site
- Program and test software to ensure accurate plate recognition and data capture
- Integrate ANPR systems with network infrastructure and third-party platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both on-site and remotely
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and support tickets
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time
- Ensure all work is compliant with relevant health & safety and data protection standards
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience installing and configuring ANPR or CCTV camera systems inside and outside
- Strong knowledge of IP networking (routers, switches, static IPs, etc.)
- Familiarity with camera software interfaces and configuration tools
- Comfortable working at heights and using access equipment (e.g., ladders, towers)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
Desirable:
- Experience with brands such as Hikvision, Mav, Axis, Mobotics or Similar
- Knowledge of VMS (Video Management Systems) and cloud-based solutions
- ECS or CSCS certification
- Basic electrical knowledge or qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition)
- IPAF
