Full job description

Full Time, Fixed Term - 12 months

The local authority has a statutory duty to ensure the safety of children who are destitute and at risk of street homelessness. The No recourse to public funds team assess families and provide emergency accommodation if needed for people with uncertain immigration status.

The No Recourse to Public Funds Team are a team of social workers and support staff to undertake assessments.

The Key Worker is a full time position and will undertake a range of statutory duties in accordance with relevant legislation in relation to children and their families including empowering families to take actions identified in their support plans.

You will need experience of working with children and young people in a related professions for example education welfare or youth and community work and an ability to analyse family requirements in order that the most appropriate service is provided.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
