SECURITY DOG HANDLER (GP LEVEL 2)

Location: Various sites across the Bristol region
Shifts: Days, nights and weekends
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Zero-hour contract
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Go Security is currently recruiting experienced GP Level 2 Dog Handlers to support operations across multiple client sites throughout the Bristol region.

This role involves delivering professional K9 security services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, professionalism and dog welfare.

We are looking for dependable handlers who take pride in their work, maintain high operational standards and can represent Go Security professionally on client sites.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING DO NOT APPLY unless you have ALL of the following:

Valid SIA Licence
NASDU or equivalent Level 2 GP certification
NASDU team certification
Own trained operational dog suitable for GP deployment
Own K9 compliant vehicle fitted with a suitable cage

Applications that do not meet all of the above requirements will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out regular patrols to maintain site safety and security
Respond to incidents and security concerns professionally
Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports and site records
Maintain clear communication with the Control Room and Operations Team
Ensure all K9 welfare standards are maintained at all times
Ensure all equipment and vehicles remain compliant and operational
Use company reporting systems and mobile applications as required
Travel between different client sites when required
Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in K9 GP security deployments
Strong understanding of site security procedures
Professional appearance and attitude
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Flexible and reliable approach to shift work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Successful applicants will be required to complete and pass BS7858 screening and vetting checks before being deployed to any site.

Applicants must also be willing and able to travel across the Bristol region. Mileage allowance or travel reimbursement may be provided where applicable and authorised.
