Job Summary
We are looking for proactive and self-motivated Self Employed Mortgage Adviser to join our team. Ideally the candidate will have experience within the industry and be in a position they can provide some of their own leads. This role offers the flexibility of working independently while providing expert mortgage advice to clients. We are looking for a friendly, approachable customer serviced based person. This position is perfect for someone looking to build a client base whilst working within a company for support. We offer a competitive split on commissions and can top up with lead sources. The job role will be working from home for a Bristol Based Mortgage firm. As a self-employed professional, you will manage your own schedule and working hours. We are flexible on full time or part time and chosen hours, ideally the ideal candaite would consider a evening a week or a weekend as many appointments with clients are outside of the standard 9-5. We are a welcoming established team of 3 looking to increase our team to help with the incoming leads during our busier periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert mortgage advice tailored to clients’ financial circumstances and property aspirations
- Assess clients’ financial situations, including income, expenditure, and credit history
- Explain various mortgage products, interest rates, and repayment options clearly and accurately
- Assist clients in completing application forms and gathering necessary documentation
- Liaise with lenders and other financial institutions to facilitate smooth application processing
- Keep up-to-date with current market trends, lending criteria, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain comprehensive records of client interactions and advice given in compliance with industry standards
- Develop and grow your own client portfolio through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts
Experience
- Proven experience within the financial services sector, specifically in mortgage advising or related fields
- Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending criteria, and regulatory guidelines
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate calculations and assessments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information simply
- Self-motivated with organisational skills to manage your own workload effectively
- Prior experience as a self-employed adviser or in a similar autonomous role is advantageous but not essential
