On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Project Support Officer (Inside IR35) for a contract which runs until 26th March 2027. This is a hybrid role and requires up to 3 days a week in Corsham.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is a central government department with a mission to protect our country and provide the ultimate guarantee of its security and independence, as well as helping to protect its value

This position sits within the SATCOM programme in Defence Digital.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

As a Project Support Officer, your main responsibilities will be to:

Lead the renewals process for all services as contracts approach expiry.
Engage with users to confirm requirements and maintaining ongoing communication with users to ensure timely submission of all required renewal documentation.
Engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and recorded accurately.
Provide guidance on ordering and delivery processes to customers, including early engagement with suppliers where appropriate.
Support the delivery phase for projects, ensuring outputs meet quality standards and delivery timelines.
Produce regular reports on enquiries and deliveries for stakeholder briefings.

Essential Skills

Experience in project support within busy faced paced departments ideally within central government.
Experience across project support, service contract renewals, enquiries, administration support and related activities.
Stakeholder engagement at all levels across the business.
Strong self starter who is process driven with a proactive approach to all duties.

Desirable Skills

Experience of supporting on business cases would be highly beneficial.
Experience within the MOD in a similar role would be highly beneficial.
