The purpose of this post is to carry out various aspects of skilled practical and technical arboriculture work within the Bath and North East Somerset area to a high standard as directed by the Tree officer, or as specified by the client or the clients agents.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES

Good arboriculture equipment knowledge with the ability to obtain new skill sets when training is provided

Ability to make analytical reasoning and recommendations about particular areas of work.

Ability to engage with customers and contractors within the relevant codes of practice
- Proven ability to practically apply legislation including health and safety

Ability to manage own work without close supervision including lone working in all weathers and at all hours.
QUALIFICATIONS

CS30 chainsaw maintenance & cross cutting

CS31 Small tree felling
-
CS38 Level 2 Tree climbing & rescue

CS39 Level 3 arial cutting of trees using free fall techniques

GENERAL
The post-holder will be expected to work/be available outside normal office hours including Bank Holidays, weekend and evening work as and when required for the emergency call out rota. You will be compensated for this.
