About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Junior Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance Team within a leading UK law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in legal finance, gaining hands‑on experience in a supportive and professional environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable working with numbers and financial processes.
Eager to learn and develop within a legal finance environment.
A good communicator, both in person and by email.
Proficient with Microsoft Office—especially Outlook and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Client Receipts & Payments

Process client account receipts accurately and promptly.
Handle client and office account payments in line with SRA Accounts Rules.
Assist with allocating funds to the correct matters and ledgers.
Manage card payments received via telephone or online portals.

Posting & Financial Administration

Post property searches, indemnity insurance, and other disbursements to the system.
Assist with daily banking tasks, including cheque processing.
Support with posting bills and transferring money on account.
Maintain accurate digital and paper records.

Accounts Support

Provide general support to the Finance Team, including filing, scanning, and document management.
Support colleagues during periods of leave or high workload.
