Shape the future of risk at WBR Group
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially-minded Risk Manager to lead and embed our enterprise risk management approach across the firm. This is a high impact, firm wide role where you’ll play a key part in strengthening how we identify, manage and report risk supporting confident decision-making at every level.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building frameworks from the ground up and influencing senior stakeholders, while balancing robust governance with pragmatic, business focused solutions.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of our enterprise risk framework and act as a trusted advisor across the business, with responsibilities including:
- Designing, implementing and evolving our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
- Leading the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process and maintaining the risk register
- Developing meaningful risk reporting, key risk indicators (KRIs) and MI for senior stakeholders and committees
- Providing independent second-line oversight and challenge across all areas of risk
- Supporting the business on risk, governance and control matters, including new initiatives and strategic decisions
- Strengthening operational resilience, incident management and third-party risk approaches
- Monitoring regulatory developments and emerging risks
- Promoting a positive, proportionate and commercially pragmatic risk culture
- Supporting training and capability building across the firm
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from experienced risk professionals who can operate confidently at a senior level and bring a practical, solutions focused mindset.
You’ll bring:
- Significant experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, or internal controls (ideally within professional or financial services)
- A proven track record of designing or enhancing risk frameworks, RCSA processes and risk registers
- Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies and frameworks
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insight
- Confidence influencing and challenging stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive, independent approach with strong analytical thinking
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience in legal, tax, pensions or regulated environments
- Exposure to ISO 31000 or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of data protection, cyber or third-party risk
- Experience with GRC systems or risk tooling
Qualifications
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g. IRM, ICA, CMIIA) or working towards

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
