We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to support our estimating team in the preparation and delivery of accurate, competitive tenders. This role is ideal for someone with excellent administrative, communication, and organisational skills who thrives in a fast-paced construction or engineering environment.
The Estimating Coordinator will play a key role in managing tender documentation, coordinating supplier and subcontractor quotations, maintaining estimating records, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the administration of tender opportunities from receipt through to submission.
- Prepare and distribute tender documentation to estimators, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Track and manage tender deadlines, ensuring all submissions are completed on time.
- Request, receive, and collate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Maintain accurate estimating databases, registers, and filing systems.
- Assist with preparing pricing schedules, bid documents, and supporting information.
- Liaise with internal departments, clients, consultants, and subcontractors as required.
- Organise tender review meetings and maintain action logs.
- Ensure all tender documentation complies with company procedures and client requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and documentation.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience within the construction, electrical, mechanical, or engineering industry.
- Knowledge of tendering or estimating processes.
- Familiarity with estimating software or document management systems.
- Understanding of construction terminology and procurement processes.
