We are currently seeking AFTERCARE/PDI TECHNICIANS to work within our busy Aftercare Workshop Team. The primary objective of this role is to rectify motorhome builds that have failed quality gates during the manufacturing process. Flexibility to cover work on the touring caravans within the workshop is also required.
Key rework responsibilities on the motorhomes include but are not limited to:
Minor Rectifications (snagging): Aesthetics: for eg: repairing chips in laminate worktops, trim alignments.
Fit and Finish: for eg: adjusting cabinet hinges, securing loose trim
Component swaps: for eg: replacing faulty light fittings or minor hardware.
Mid-level Rectifications: Electrical/plumbing troubleshooting: for eg: identifying and fixing 'hidden' faults
Appliance Refit: for eg: removing and replacing integrated units
External sealing: for eg: identifying and rectifying localised water ingress points.
Major Structural Rectifications: Panel replacement, floor and chassis fixes and system overhauls.
The successful candidates will be focused, driven individuals who can operate good time management and organisational skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively ensuring once a vehicle leaves the Rework station it does not return for any related issues.
Skill requirements for Rework include:
Carpentary - ability to ensure 'invisible' repairs to wood, laminate and precision cutting for panel replacements
Diagnostics - Expert use of multi-meters, gas leak detectors, damp meters.
Adhesives - Knowledge of various bonding agents, cure times etc,.
Good problem solving skills, ability to work 'backwards' from a finished product to find root causes of a fault. Excellent team player with a flexible, 'can do' attitude. Good time keeping and attendance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Strong interpersonal, team skills required and the ability to liaise with employees at all levels of the organisation.
These roles are full time/permanent positions.
Hours of work: Mon – Thurs: 0700hrs– 1700hrs Friday: 0700hrs – 1230hrs plus overtime opportunities as and when required.
Holidays: 23 holiday days (fixed to factory shutdowns) plus Bank Holidays.
