Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse/trainee to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care, and maintaining the smooth operation of the clinic. WEEKEND WORK IS REQUIRED

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
Sterilise and disinfect dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and handling correspondence
Ensure the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and fully stocked with supplies at all times
Communicate effectively with patients, providing reassurance and explaining procedures clearly

Requirements

Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is preferred
Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members
Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable
Basic IT skills for managing patient records and clinic administration programmes
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when required
A recognised qualification in dental nursing or relevant healthcare training is advantageous
