We have a vacancy for an Assistant Buyer within our team.
We source and develop books and related products for our fast moving specialty retailer.
This role is ideal for a dynamic, creative and aspirational individual keen to develop a career path.
Duties
· Work closely with senior management, the procurement team and the customer to provide unique and on trend book ranges
· Sourcing of product
· Negotiate pricing with suppliers
· Preparation of weekly sales and stock reports
· Gather market knowledge and insight into consumer and industry trends.
· Produce the sales presenters and proposals for the customer
· Analysis of customer EPOS to give buying trends and further develop ranges.
· Office based in Bicester
Skills and Attributes:
· Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers
· Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
· Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities
· Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets
· Commercial and financial awareness
· Able to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations
· Keen attention to detail and accuracy
· Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities
· Suited to working in fast paced team environment
· Book industry experience would be an advantage but not essential

Pay: £24,420.00-£40,000.00 per year
