Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Painter/Prepper to join our team. This role involves preparing and painting vehicles to a high standard, ensuring a professional finish that meets our quality expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, applying paint coats, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Previous experience in vehicle refinishing or related fields is advantageous, but full training will be provided for motivated individuals. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns or other painting equipment
- Carry out minor repairs and touch-ups as required before painting
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to assist with surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Conduct thorough inspections of painted surfaces for quality control and consistency
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or materials to facilitate efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used for each vehicle
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle repair and refinishing processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes
- Experience with power tools including spray guns, drills, and grinders is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality paint finishes
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards in a workshop environment

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
