Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in operating Loading Shovels/ 360 excavators within a production environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient production of materials while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines.

Typical Responsibilities (But not limited to)

Plant

Operating loading shovels to feed processing equipment
Operating 360 excavator to feed processing equipment
Pushing up stockpiles
Operating dust suppression equipment

General yard duties to include

Weighbridge cover
Machinery inspection and maintenance
Re-fuelling
Shift Clean downs
Housekeeping & tidiness
Following all health and safety regulations and company protocols.

Experience

Candidates should ideally have at least 1 yrs experience in the following areas:

Operating a Loading Shovel with relevant licence
Operating a 360 excavator with selector Grab
Working within a busy Waste or aggregate yard
Some basic experience using Microsoft packages

The package:

Salary indication: £37,700 per annum + Discretionary bonuses

Holidays: 28 days (Inclusive of Bank Holidays)

Working hours: 7.00am to 5.30pm (some flexibility required)

Working Days: Monday to Friday (47.5 hours) & every other Saturday (morning shift of 5 hours) with potential of overtime available

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Licence/Certification:

loading shovel license (required)
360 excavator license (required)

Work Location: In person

Pay: £14.50 per hour
