Serpecon are the UK's only manufacturer & stockist of spirals, liners, drive shafts & geared motor units for all makes of screw conveyors. We manufacture, maintain, refurbish & install both shafted and shaftless screw conveyors to clients throughout the UK water industry including Wastewater, Municipal Waste & Recycling companies amongst others
Due to continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity, for a Workshop/Production Assistant to join a fast growing, modern & innovative business. Working alongside a friendly & welcoming team, we are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive & organised person to join our team in Fareham.
Reporting to the Solutions Engineer, you will be required to provide support to the works production team. This work will include but is not limited to, assembly of new spiral conveyors & associated platforms along with other workshop duties.
This role is ideal for someone looking for hands-on work in a manufacturing environment. You will be part of a busy team where attention to detail, reliability & teamwork are key.
Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in production & manufacturing.

Checking work for quality & accuracy
Helping the team to keep production flowing efficiently
Maintaining a clean & safe working environment
To carry out general workshop duties as directed in a safe & controlled manner in accordance with Company Standards & Policies.

Some mechanical knowledge with hands on experience using hand/power tools
Qualifications
- Desirable - Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely & effectively
- Desirable - Experience with assembly work or similar tasks
- Desirable - Forklift licence
- Desirable - Welding experience/qualification
Hours of work - 0800-1700 Monday to Friday with flexibility when required
