Key Requirements

- Proven CNC milling experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering/manufacturing drawings
- Strong fabrication and practical workshop experience
- Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of workshop safety and safe working practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence or currently working towards obtaining one
- Reliable transport to work
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience operating an XYZ RMX 5000 milling machine
- Experience using ProtoTRAK controls
- Level 2 qualification in Fabrication
- CNC qualification
- Lathe operating experience
About the Role
CTS Europe Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Miller to join our manufacturing team in Portsmouth.
This role is ideal for an individual with strong machining and fabrication experience who enjoys working in a precision engineering environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, has a positive attitude, and is willing to learn new skills where required.
You will play an important role in manufacturing and supporting specialist laboratory containment systems used by pharmaceutical research organisations around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the XYZ RMX 5000 milling machine using ProtoTRAK controls
- Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
- Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Carry out in-process inspections and quality checks using measuring equipment
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks
- Follow all workshop health and safety procedures
- Assist with special orders and bespoke customer projects
- Support retrofitting and custom manufacturing tasks
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard
