FUTURE GOATS – FUTSAL COACH (CARDIFF)

FUTURE GOATS is a futsal-based football development programme in Cardiff with a clear mission: to help shape the future of Welsh football.

We are building something different.

Modern football has become too rigid, too structured, and too robotic. At FUTURE GOATS, we are going against that.

We bring back the street-style, creative, expressive version of football that has been lost from the modern game — the type of football where players learn to think, react, and express themselves freely.

Futsal is played across Europe and is widely recognised as one of the best environments for developing technical, intelligent footballers. Many of the world’s best players have grown up through futsal-based environments.

Our sessions are fully planned and structured, but delivered in a way that keeps energy, freedom, and enjoyment at the centre of everything we do.

We also play music during sessions to create a high-energy, “party-style” atmosphere that keeps players engaged, confident, and enjoying every moment on the court.

At FUTURE GOATS, fun and enjoyment come first — development follows naturally.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Futsal/Football Coach to join our growing team in Cardiff.

You will help deliver high-quality, engaging sessions that develop technical ability, creativity, and confidence in young players.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves football, enjoys working with children, and wants to be part of a growing movement changing how the game is coached in Wales.

All sessions are already created and planned in advance — your focus is delivery, energy, and creating the right environment for players to thrive (7-12 year olds).

Responsibilities

Deliver fun, high-energy futsal sessions for different age groups and abilities
Create a positive, enjoyable environment where players feel confident to express themselves
Encourage creativity, decision-making, and technical development
Follow pre-planned session structures (no planning required)
Maintain strong communication with players, parents, and staff
Promote teamwork, respect, and enjoyment of football
Ensure a safe, well-managed training environment at all times

What We’re Looking For

Passion for football and youth development
High energy, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills
Playing or coaching experience in football or futsal (preferred but not essential)
No coaching badges required — experience and attitude matter most
Ability to connect with young players and create a positive atmosphere
Driving is beneficial but not essential

Shift

Two Coaches for Friday 5-6pm Ysgol Glantaf High School
Two Coaches for Tuesday 6-7pm Cardiff West High School
