The successful applicant will work as part of a large Multi-disciplinary-team in the delivery of care and treatment for young people aged 12-18 based in a CAMHS inpatient setting.
The role will involve delivery of a Therapeutic Time-table within Ty Llidiard, working jointly with Nurses, Therapists and Education colleagues. The post holder will Co-ordinate, initiate and participate in activities, which will be both on and off the Unit with access to a unit minibus and activity resources.
The post holder will work under the direction of the Ward Manager, providing social, recreational, physical and leisure activities to young people aged 12-18 whilst in-patients at Ty-Llidiard.
The direction of the work will be to enhance the recovery pathway via the facilitation of psychosocial interventions for young people experiencing serious mental illness, and will include therapeutic based groups as well as social, vocational and physical activities.
The post holder will help develop an activity based culture within Ty-Llidiard, and facilitate Ward and Community based activities tailored to the needs of young people.

This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
