Plasterer / Labourer
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Plasterer / Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with various building projects, specialising in plastering, alongside general labour duties across diverse construction sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in multiple trades within a dynamic environment, contributing to high-quality building finishes and site organisation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for plastering, including cleaning, sanding, and setting up scaffolding or working platforms
- Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with precision and attention to detail
- Assist with the installation of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, and masonry work as required
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for plastering and general construction tasks
- Support fabrication and carpentry activities on-site, including cutting and assembling materials
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of materials
- Perform site clearance, organise materials, and maintain a clean working environment
- Assist with construction painting tasks when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and uphold safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in plastering or general construction work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings is beneficial
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if required
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
- Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are a plus but not mandatory
