The Role
The Assistant Asset Engineer (Buildings and Civils ) will assist in providing technical expertise and engineering support to the asset engineering team in managing Transport for Wales (TfW) assets.
Role responsibilities
- Support the application of asset management processes in accordance with asset policies by working with the Infrastructure Ownership team to deliver oversight of the asset management services.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of the CVL Infrastructure Manager using asset condition and capability trend data, and failure precursors to inform decision making.
- Provide support to the drafting of specification and development of enhancement schemes by working with the Senior Asset Engineer in reviewing and providing feedback to ensure suitability of the specification to standards and policies.
- Provide technical support and guidance in reviewing asset data and working with the asset data team to ensure maintenance of accurate civils asset data and information within the company systems and processes.
Who we're looking for
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Civil and /or Structural Engineering,
- Post graduate experience in Civil and/or Structural engineering,
- Experience of working as a Construction Manager or Project Engineer in a railway environment,
- Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively, with a focus on building networks, and improving overall service delivery.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
