Part-Time Accountant / Bookkeeper

Location: St Mellons Cardiff
Hours: ~10 hours per week
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Working Pattern: Flexible days and hours to suit the successful candidate and business needs

About Us

Precision Dental Laboratory Group (@pfsdental) is the largest full-service dental laboratory group in Wales. Based in Cardiff, we provide a comprehensive range of services including Crown & Bridge, Orthodontics, Pressure Forming, and Prosthetics, supporting dental clinicians throughout the UK.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and detail oriented Part-Time Accountant / Bookkeeper to support our administration team and ensure accurate financial record keeping across the business.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper or accountant seeking flexible part-time work. Working approximately 10 hours per week, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping of the laboratory’s financial records. We are looking at someone working approximately 10 hours per week, we are flexible with which days these are, and how the hours are split across the days.

Note: Initial starting hours may be higher within first few weeks to bring the candidate up to speed with our existing accounts and job specific terminology, clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Processing supplier invoices and payments
Bank reconciliations
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Monitoring financial transactions
Assisting with payroll administration
Liaising with external accountants as required
Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial processes
Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Strong communication skills and a professional approach
