Cardigan Health Centre is seeking a professional, organised, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly and busy practice team.
This is a temporary position working 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 5 hours per day, on a rota basis between 8:00am and 6:45pm for 6-12 months.
Please note: Applicants must be able to commit to working within the rota hours stated above and be willing to work occasional overtime to provide cover for annual leave and sickness. We are unable to offer additional or reduced hours over fewer days.

About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role within a busy healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and professional reception and administrative service, supporting patients, GPs, and the wider healthcare team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Booking appointments and managing patient requests
- Handling patient enquiries both face-to-face and over the telephone
- Liaising with GPs and other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Undertaking a range of administrative duties to support the smooth running of the Practice
- Working across different departments as required
- Adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection procedures at all times
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with people.
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role, although candidates with strong customer service and administrative experience will also be considered.
You will be able to demonstrate:

The ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous but is not essential.
