About Us

J & E Woodworks Ltd is a well-established construction & bespoke joinery company with a workshop based in Lampeter, specialising in high-quality bespoke joinery, including window, doors, staircases, cabinetry, and custom timber projects. We pride ourselves on excellent craftmanship, attention to detail, and reliable service to both domestic and commercial clients.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Bench Joiner to join our skilled workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high quality joinery items from start to finish, working with a range of hardwoods and softwoods.

Key Resposibilities

Manufacture bespoke joinery items to technical drawings and specifications.
Operate a variety of workshop machinery and hand tools safely and competently.
Assemble, finish and prepare products for installation.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Work to deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to smooth workshop operations.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Bench Joiner in a joinery workshop.
Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good problem solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual.
Commitment to health and safety practices.
