Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Operations Co-ordinator to oversee and optimise supply chain activities within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics, coordinating materials handling, and ensuring seamless communication across various departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvements and support efficient warehouse and transportation operations, utilising a range of management systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) to optimise shipping and receiving schedules
Oversee warehouse management system (WMS) operations, including inventory control and stock accuracy
Manage category management processes to ensure product categorisation aligns with organisational standards
Support process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs
Supervise materials handling activities, including picking & packing, using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
Facilitate logistics planning within supply chain frameworks, including 3PL providers and internal departments
Utilise ERP systems, such as AS400, to monitor order processing, stock levels, and data entry accuracy
Analyse data to identify trends, optimise workflows, and inform strategic decisions in shipping & receiving operations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during warehouse activities and transportation tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve overall service delivery

Skills

Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management or warehouse operations
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (including AS400)
Familiarity with category management, process improvement methodologies, and data analysis techniques
Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL)
Ability to analyse complex data sets to support decision-making processes
Experience in shipping & receiving procedures, including picking & packing processes

Pay: £24,420.00-£26,000.00 per year
