Full job description

An exciting new opportunity has become available to join the team here at Carnoustie Golf Links, as a seasonal Customer Experience Advisor!

Working 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (typically Monday-Friday), fixed-term until 31st October 2026, the main duties of this role include but are not limited to:

Operational
oAccepting & processing public golf bookings and payments or refunds
oProcessing of Tour Operator bookings & collection of payments
oProduce regular Tour Operator statements
oProcessing the Hotel weekly bookings & collection of payments
oSelling the venue, existing packages and upselling products and services
oProcessing Season Ticket holder bookings, amendments, cancellations and payments
oAdherence to all rules and regulations within the organisation
oDaily distribution of mail
oAssisting the Commercial Manager with general administrative duties
oProvide information to Customers Inform customers about services and products offered, local attractions, driving directions, and provide any other type of information the customer wants to know about their trip
oMake reservations Primary task is to book golf rounds and create a full experience. Listen to customers and help accommodate them with services that best fit their needs. Make sure the requested dates, products, or services are available, and complete the booking with a friendly attitude.
oHandle customer complaints Remaining calm and friendly throughout the process, helping the customer resolve the situation. Otherwise, it is escalated to the Commercial Manager.
oSale of products and services Offering additional pull through products and services to customers who book through them.
oAssisting with setting up the golf booking diary on an annual basis, including the processing of the relevant tee off time types and priorities
oSupporting Guest Relations team with day-to-day duties in alignment with business needs

People
oLiaising with clients, suppliers and other staff
oAssisting Heads of Departments with events that include rounds of golf
oAssisting marketing team with sales promotions
oFirst point of contact for enquiries via phone or email
oAny other duties as required

The ideal candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate:

oAbility to work to customer service and sales standards
oAdherence to rules and regulations, accuracy and attention to detail
oAbility to work to customer service standard

oStrong IT skills, accomplished in using Microsoft Office packages
oExcellent written and verbal communication
oAbility to work stand-alone, while a positive contributor to the wider team
oAccustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure
oPunctuality
