From our warehouse in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, we fulfil orders for customers across the UK and internationally. We are a close-knit team of 14 and are looking for a reliable, proactive and experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to join our growing business on a permanent basis.
The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Senior Warehouse Operative will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and efficiency. In addition to carrying out warehouse duties, you will support the Warehouse Manager, help train colleagues and act as a senior point of contact within the warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Processing orders and stock movements using warehouse and order management systems
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer and wholesale orders accurately and efficiently
- Receiving, checking and booking in deliveries
- Ensuring stock is stored correctly and warehouse locations are maintained
- Liaising with couriers regarding collections and deliveries
- Assisting with stock counts and inventory checks
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
Senior Responsibilities
- Supporting the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse
- Helping train and onboard new warehouse team members
- Providing guidance and support to warehouse operatives
- Monitoring order quality and accuracy standards
- Taking ownership of specific operational projects and improvements
- Acting as a senior member of the warehouse team when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable
- Escalating stock, systems or operational issues promptly
- Supporting warehouse planning during peak trading periods
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous warehouse experience
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Be reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
- Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Have strong communication skills
- Be confident using computers and warehouse systems
- Be physically capable of lifting and moving products weighing up to 30kg
- Take pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy and presentation
Experience of supervising, training or mentoring colleagues would be advantageous but is not essential.

Terms

- Based at: 9 Station Field Industrial Estate, Kidlington, Oxfordshire
- 37.5 hours per week
- Warehouse operating hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
- Working hours to be agreed within these operating times
- Salary: £30,000 per annum
