About Longpré

Founded in 1990, master cabinet makers, Longpré, are based in the centre of the historic town of Bruton, Somerset. About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded finance manager to join our senior management, working within a small finance team alongside the Director, CFO and accounts assistant.

Driving both financial scale-up control and operational efficiency, this key leadership role is pivotal to cross-functional decision making.

Core responsibilities

Full responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the company, to include:

· Cash flow forecasting (short, medium and long term)

· Projects portfolio and production cost performance analysis

· Ownership of work in progress

· Payroll and pensions management

· Monthly management accounts and KPIs

· Accounts receivable and accounts payable - UK and overseas

· Banking relationship

· International trade: monitor FX strategy, overseas VAT & duties

· Responsibility for accountancy of 2 legal entities, including full monthly reconciliation of ledgers

· Annual and 3-year budget planning, monitoring and control

· VAT and R & D taxation returns on a quarterly and annual basis

· HMRC relationship to include PAYE, CIS, VAT and R & D

· Services, supplier contracts and policies

· Asset register

· Insurance portfolio

· Implementation of a companywide financial programme of continual development

Experience

· Experience of working in a manufacturing background advantageous

· Import and export cross border accounting advantageous

Personal attributes

· Detail driven, analytical thinker and problem solver

· Self-starter with an ability to work independently

· Hands on approach

· Professional and discrete

· Enthusiastic and driven to succeed

· A keen appreciation of our shared passion for the finest bespoke craftsmanship

Qualifications

· Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA

· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role

· References are required for this role.
