Job description
Arrow Film & Foil Converters Ltd, a leading flexographic printing company, is currently seeking a Ink Technician to join our dynamic team.
Main duties include;
- Mix ink in line with daily production plans
- Colour matching by eye and with spectrophotometers
- Book back press returns into the ink management system
- Re-work of press returns where possible
- Carry out daily material stock checks
- Replenish material stocks in ink room
- Arrange uplift of any empty containers or waste ink, ensuring containers are safely palletised and lids are secure.
- Input new standards into the digital colour database and recipes into the ink management software
- Carry out colour corrections and basic trouble shooting on press
- Be prepared to pass jobs for production
- Provide on press support for new / complex designs and customer approvals
- Ensure the ink room is maintained and paperwork is available for inspection
Our ideal candidate will;
- Comply with all H&S rules and policies.
- Knowledge/skills/experience: Chemical or ink manufacture experience
- Technical or production background.
- Ink stock management experience
- Good colour vision as well as a keen eye for detail
- Flexible regarding working hours as occasional overtime will be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
