The Opportunity
Due to continued growth we are seeking to appoint an additional IPS Employment Specialist to support the delivery of the Connect to Work contract across Sheffield. This role will focus on supporting domestic abuse survivors to access employment, training and wider progression opportunities through a person-centred and trauma-informed approach.
Working in partnership with local services, employers and support agencies, you will help individuals identify their strengths, overcome barriers to work and move towards sustainable employment outcomes. This is a hybrid role, with delivery across Sheffield and home working as required.
Key Duties
Provide tailored employment support to domestic abuse survivors, helping them move towards and into sustainable work
Build positive, supportive relationships with participants using a trauma-informed and person-centred approach
Work closely with referring partners, local agencies and employers to coordinate effective support pathways
Support participants with job searching, CV development, applications, interview preparation and in-work support
Identify and address barriers to employment, including confidence, wellbeing, skills and practical challenges
Maintain accurate records and caseload information in line with contract and organisational requirements
Promote participant progress and positive outcomes in line with programme targets and quality standards
Contribute to the ongoing development of employer links and local partnership working across Sheffield
About You

Experience of providing employment, advice, guidance or key worker support to adults facing multiple barriers
Experience of working with domestic abuse survivors or within related support services
An understanding of trauma-informed practice, safeguarding and the barriers survivors may face in accessing work
The ability to build trust, motivate and support individuals with empathy and professionalism
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
A flexible, collaborative approach and commitment to inclusive practice
A positive mindset and passion for supporting people to achieve greater independence and progression

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per hour
