Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, maintaining a safe working environment, and achieving performance targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to team members based on workload and priorities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to support staff development.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory control to manage stock levels.
- Implement and maintain warehouse policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
- Address and resolve any safety incidents or violations promptly.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and shipments.
- Implement quality control procedures to minimize errors and defects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and execute operational strategies.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to optimize operations.
- Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Warehouse Manager on team performance, inventory status, and operational issues.
- Address and resolve any team or operational conflicts effectively.
- Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7
What do you need?
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Forklift certification (Reach, CB, VNA)
