We are open to candidates at different stages of their career. Entry-level applicants and those looking to start their career in logistics will receive full in-depth, on the job training.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Robert Kukla Spedition UK Ltd is an international freight forwarding agent, who specialise in the logistics of Beers, Wines and Spirits.

As a Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of freight forwarding. This includes coordinating and managing customer shipments, from selecting the most suitable most of transport, to monitoring delivery and keeping customers informed throughout the process. You will be responsible for obtaining all necessary shipping documentation and arranging import and export clearance.
This is a hands-on operational role, ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations, primarily using sea containers, intermodal rail and road trailers (import and/or export).
- Execute orders and coordinate with stakeholders such as suppliers and carriers to ensure prompt collection and delivery of shipments.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during shipment.
- Strategically plan transport solutions by considering customer requirements, cost efficiency, routing options and service level agreements.
- Manage import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, including transport arrangements, shipping tracking and invoicing.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and provide updates to customers.
- Deliver excellent customer service by keeping clients informed about their shipments and resolving any queries or issues promptly and professionally.
Our ideal candidate for the Freight Forwarder role will have:
- A strong interest in logistics and freight forwarding.
- An understanding of multi-modal transport operations, including sea freight, intermodal rail and road logistics.
- Full fluency in English.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and import/export documentation.
- Excellent time management, communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
